Harper Grace - Month 7, 8 AND 9!

20lbs & 30" [3.19.14]

Harper is one busy little bee! She has mastered the art of crawling and now practices pulling up and standing.  She has developed many new opinions, likes & dislikes.  She's eating pretty much anything she can get her hands on.  She loves to play, especially with the "big" kids.

She doesn't like being held back, or strapped down (in the car seat, or on the changing table).  She wants to go-go-go - preferably naked!

She continues to love bath time, reading stories, independent & interactive play, "school" and sleeping in bed with mommy & daddy!

We just completed our first round of mommy/daddy and me swim lessons.  Harper did great - she's a natural!

Snoqualmie Falls 3.23.14

Harper has EIGHT teeth! She is 99th percentile for height, 79th for weight, and 81st for head circumference.

5 Months Old ... and ALMOST 6 Months Old!

16lbs 9oz (on 11.14.13)

We have been keeping VERY busy with our little bundle of joy.  She is growing and changing so much.  She has definitely become her own little person over the past 2 months.  She is SO happy, some mornings she wakes up laughing and giggling with no one in the room! A lot has happened since my last post and rather than trying to remember what has happened when, I will just do a combo!

Harper was an Alligator for Halloween.  We spent the evening at Aunty Amie's with our friends Erika & James, watching Aunty hand out candy.  Harper wasn't a big fan of the costume because it was extra warm for indoors, but she left it on long enough to take some photos!

Nana came for a brief visit in the beginning of November for Harper's Baptism.  She babysat for our first evening away - dinner & drinks for Mommy's birthday!  Nana also made Harper's Baptismal gown, which turned out beautiful!

After Nana left, Harper sprouted a tooth ... and then ANOTHER! Both her front bottom teeth came in within a matter of two days.  She has since continued drooling and I wouldn't be surprised if we had another one - or two appear soon.

Harper's first solid was a frozen banana.  She has since tried avocado, broccoli, carrots, and jarred organic baby food puree in carrots, sweet potatoes, & mangoes.  She loves to eat, especially when feeding herself.  She continues to improve her swallowing skills and keeping the food in her mouth!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner at Grandpa Mark's with nearly the entire Miller clan.  Harper enjoyed all the cousin play time and the mashed potatoes!

Harper had the opportunity to try out her new swim suit at the hotel pool when the Boleak's traveled south for a basketball tournament.  The water was a little too chilly, so we just sat at watched the kids play.

In the past few weeks Harper has learned to sit unassisted.  She still occasionally tumbles over, but is really good about falling slowly and rolling so she doesn't get injured ;) She loves sitting and playing with her toys.

Last weekend we went to the Festival of Trees and saw Santa Clause.  Harper loved looking at all the decorated trees and watching the dancing performances.

We will be traveling to Florida for Christmas in the next few weeks, hopefully Harper does well on the plane ... It's going to be a lovely trip!
